Your opportunity to make a difference

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of your manufacturing and distribution site, leading your management team to deliver safe, efficient and reliable operations.

This is a visible, hands-on leadership role with real accountability. You’ll turn plans into action, build capability in your team and keep people, safety, quality, service and cost at the heart of every decision.

What you’ll be doing
• Leading our people: Coach and develop your Shift and Manufacturing Managers, set clear expectations and build a team where people feel included, recognised and accountable.
• Making every day count: Deliver production and dispatch plans, aligning labour, skills and resources with demand.
• Protecting our standards: Champion health and safety, food safety and product quality, making sure great standards become everyday habits.
• Improving how we work: Use operational insight and data to reduce waste, improve yields, increase productivity and embed lasting improvements.
• Owning performance: Manage your site budget, control costs and take action when results move off track.
• Bringing teams together: Work closely with Engineering, Logistics, Technical, Planning, Finance and People colleagues to solve problems and keep the operation moving.
• Keeping your cool: Lead through disruption, make clear decisions and provide management cover when needed.

What you’ll bring to the mix
You’ll have strong operational leadership experience in manufacturing, food production, FMCG or a related environment, with responsibility for a complex site or substantial operational function.

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
• Success in delivering production plans, managing labour and improving performance and cost.
• A sound understanding of health and safety, food safety, quality systems and compliance.
• The ability to develop frontline leaders and build capable, engaged teams.
• Confidence using data to identify problems, prioritise action and measure results.
• Clear communication, strong working relationships and practical decision-making under pressure.
• A hands-on, inclusive approach, with the confidence to challenge and the curiosity to keep learning.
Experience in fast-paced food manufacturing or retail supply chains would be an advantage, alongside knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, automated production systems or continuous improvement. A relevant degree or equivalent operational management experience is also welcome.
