SSP Canada operates multiple restaurants inside the Toronto Pearson International Airport.

A Warehouse Worker in this position is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, and dispatching goods, with a focus on heavy lifting, transferring items between work units, and comfortable stocking in freezer environments. The role is physically demanding, requiring stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work in temperature-controlled areas.

Here are a few things you can expect as a Warehouse employee at SSP Canada:

  • Receiving & Inspection: Unload incoming shipments, check delivery notes against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and record receipts in the warehouse.
  • Heavy Lifting & Moving: Lift, carry, and position heavy goods (often up to 50 lbs or more) and transfer them between storage areas, production lines, or different work units
  • Goods Transfer: Move stock between departments or workstations, ensuring accurate placement and secure handling
  • Cold Storage Stocking: Store and retrieve items in freezer sections, following hygiene and safety protocols for cold environments
  • Picking & Packing: Select items from storage locations to fulfill orders, pack securely, label, and document for shipment
  • Inventory & Organization: Maintain accurate stock levels, organize storage areas, and participate in audits or cycle counts
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Keep work areas clean, safe, and compliant with fire and cold-storage safety standards

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (often 25–50 lbs) regularly
  • Able to work in cold storage/freezer environments for extended periods
  • Frequent movement such as: standing, walking, bending, reaching, squatting
  • Able to perform sustained physical activity.

Skills & Other Requirements

  • One year experience working in a warehouse environment
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ability to stand for long period of time
  • Ability to pass Transport Canada 5 year background check
