We’re growing, changing and doing things a little differently at and we’re looking for a Management Accountant who wants to be part of it. This isn’t a role where you’ll simply prepare the numbers, file the report and move on to the next month. You’ll be right at the heart of the business, using your financial expertise to understand what’s driving performance, where we can do better and where we should be focusing our attention.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you’ll take ownership of the management accounts for a portfolio of our restaurant sites and work closely with Operations and central teams across the wider Karali Group portfolio. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting with commercial thinking, wants genuine exposure to a fast-moving hospitality business and is ready to make an impact.

You’ll take responsibility for producing accurate and insightful monthly management accounts for your allocated restaurant portfolio

That will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Posting and reviewing month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Supporting the Senior Management Accountant with the production of monthly reporting packs.
  • Ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and clearly communicated.
  • Analyse restaurant performance and identify the key drivers behind sales, labour, food costs, margins and profitability.
  • Highlight risks, opportunities and areas where performance could be improved.
  • Translate financial information into clear, practical recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Develop and improve reporting packs, dashboards and KPIs so that leaders have the information they need to make better decisions.
  • Look for trends across the estate and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.

Côte and the wider Karali portfolio are evolving quickly, so there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved beyond the monthly cycle.

You’ll support:

  • The annual budgeting process.
  • Periodic forecasting and reforecasting.
  • Scenario planning and financial modelling where required.
  • Analysis of business performance and future opportunities.
  • Continuous improvement projects across Finance.
  • The development of more effective reporting, processes and control
  • You’ll already have solid experience in a Management Accountant role and be comfortable taking ownership of your numbers.

You’ll already have solid experience in a Management Accountant role and be comfortable taking ownership of your numbers. Ideally, you’ll have experience in a multi-site retail, hospitality, leisure or restaurant environment, where understanding the operational drivers behind financial performance is just as important as producing accurate accounts.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong management accounting experience and a good understanding of month-end processes.
  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot trends, anomalies and opportunities.
  • Excellent attention to detail — because the small things matter when you’re responsible for the numbers.
  • The confidence to question, challenge and investigate rather than simply accept what the numbers tell you.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

You’ll be joining a team where your work will have visible impact, with exposure to a growing portfolio of hospitality businesses and the opportunity to develop your career as the wider Karali Group continues to evolve.

We’re a hands-on, collaborative team. We like people who are curious, commercially minded and willing to roll their sleeves up — whether that’s digging into a variance, challenging a forecast or working with an Operations leader to understand what’s really happening in one of our restaurants.

And because work is only part of life, you’ll also get access to a great range of benefits, including:

  • £45,000 – £50,000 salary, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working, with 3 days per week from our Kensington office
  • A great range of employee benefits
  • Opportunities to develop and progress across the wider Karali Group If you’re an experienced Management Accountant looking for a role where you can own your work, influence the business and develop alongside a growing hospitality portfolio, we’d love to hear from you.
