As our incredible General Manager, Linda, prepares for her well-earned retirement, a truly unique opportunity has arisen to take the reins at The George Inn, Norton St Philip and lead one of the most iconic inns in the country into its next exciting chapter.

Recognised by Historic England as England's oldest purpose-built inn, The George has welcomed guests for more than 600 years and remains one of the most distinctive and loved destinations within the Butcombe Boutique Inns collection. Recently crowned AA Inn of the Year 2024 and 2025, The George has built an outstanding reputation for exceptional hospitality, outstanding food and unforgettable guest experiences.

Steeped in character and history, this stunning Grade I listed inn has also enjoyed time in the spotlight, recently serving as a key filming location for the feature film Mother's Pride, starring Martin Clunes and James Buckley.
