Are you a passionate and hands-on manufacturing leader with a drive for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and people development? We are looking for a full time, 40 hours per week, Area Production Manager to lead production operations within our food manufacturing facility in Blanchardstown.
As a key member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for driving performance across your designated production area, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
People Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing production team through active floor management and daily engagement.
- Manage labour schedules and staffing requirements.
- Partner with HR on employee development and performance management.
Safety & Quality First
- Champion a zero-harm culture and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Work with Quality teams to maintain HACCP and food safety standards.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Drive waste reduction, yield improvement and process optimisation.
- Implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Finance and Stock Control teams.
Financial & Performance Literacy
- Monitor labour costs, material variances and operational expenses.
- Track KPIs including OEE, efficiency and yields.
About You:
- 3–5 years management experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Hands-on leadership style with strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness.
